Swan Song to Sojourn

The build up started when I was leaving his house a week or so ago and he grabbed me by the hair, pulling me against him as well were leaving the dragon hoard room. Then in the entryway when I was tying up a conversation with his roommate - all he did was nudge my cheek towards him. It was not a question, nor did I treat it as if it was one. It wasn't even a thought. I shut up and looked at him through my lashes. Smiling he tapped my chin and I raised my gaze up to meet his. Seven Hundred and Fifty Words

I haven't spoken seven hundred and fifty words to her since the beginning. It was a deep cut. I bled for her. I burned. A crazy rush of nerves crowded my mouth each time we bumped into each other. Garbled speech. Blushed cheeks. Her smile. Her eyes drowned me and this time I was going to ask. "Maybe... Do you... Um. Think we could..." "I'd love to. Relax." How she got into it. I pieced this together over time and it is my best guess. She is a private person and would never tell me the details, but she did share a detail here and there and this is what i surmised happened to her. Years ago she had an abusive husband. He was a trucker, handsome with movie star looks. He was very aggressive and verbally. And arrogant. Having been with her i imagine she picked up some of the traits she hated in him.
